Question About MobileMe Control Panel?

what is mobileme control panel?? i heard its for syncing stuff to ur iPhone from ur computer and i heard u need that so i installed it and now someone else says its not required..what should i do and should i uninstall it? and also, should i uninstall bonjour or keep it? it doesnt even say to uninstall for mobileme control panel..what should i do??
