I've decided to move to Eugene, Oregon...wanting insight as to how its like living there, what to expect..? :)?

Hi everyone. Soo I've decided to move to Oregon. I'm orginally from northern california. 22yrs old and this will be my 1st time moving out of my parents place...my mother might move with me as well b/c she hates living in cali too but she hasn't made up her mind yet. Anyways my heart is set on moving to eugene. I researched the place, affordable rent, has a community college I can attend, is green, suits my mellow, low key, liberal personality, the weather is pretty much perfect for me!! I prefer cold/rainy weather, can't stand heat/summers. It seems like Eugene has its own unique personality and culture that I'm just really drawn to. :) ...I would really love if u would share your own personal experiences/opinions about Eugene, or Oregon in general.. what are some attractions to check out? Where do all the young ppl hangout/hotspots? How is the nightlife? I'm not a huge club person but I love going to local music shows! :)
