What does it feel like when the baby kicks you in the ribs?

I am 37 weeks today and I am curious to know how does it feel? I don't think my baby ever has done that so far, she seems like a mellow girl except for sometimes when she's swimming loooll.... Should i have felt her kicking my ribs, or will it happen soon? I've heard it hurts, and she hasn't ever kicked me and it hurt....
